Fair first-time customer discount
The 50% first-time customer price applies exclusively to the base cover with a binding artist credit. The personal code cannot be applied to the regular base cover without credit or to adaptations. It can be used once per person and delivery address; identical delivery addresses with different registration details do not receive another first-time customer discount.

When the following credit appears on the first imprint or copyright page of the print and e-book editions, the base cover costs 374,25 € instead of 499 €. Eligible first-time customers pay 249,50 € for the same product with the binding credit. The discounts are not combined; first-time customers receive the 50% price directly. Adaptations remain 149 €.

Questions before we start
What counts as an additional variant?
A variant transfers the already approved base design to another technical format or edition—for example from e-book to paperback, paperback to hardcover, or to another provider’s specifications.
Which book printers do you design for?
For all providers and print shops that supply a binding, current guide or template. If you have not yet selected a provider, we will clarify the technical parameters during the briefing.
What information is required for print covers?
At minimum: trim size, binding type, paper, final page count, and the current provider guide. These determine spine width, bleed, and safety and fold zones. The ICC profile explicitly required by the provider and the confirmed CMYK/PDF-X or RGB workflow are downloaded, documented, and checked for the specific project.
Will the coloured guide lines be visible later?
No. The lines in the work samples make the technical check transparent. The final production file is exported according to the provider’s requirements.
How do we exchange the manuscript and cover files?
Every commission includes a personal project space in the Shopify customer account at no extra cost. There you can upload your book as a PDF, document messages in the ticket history, and download interim versions and final cover files. Project files are stored privately and deleted by default 90 days after project completion.
How does the first-time customer discount work?
The first-time customer price of 249,50 € applies only to the base cover with a binding artist credit on the first imprint or copyright page. The personal code is technically limited to this product. Without the credit, the regular base cover costs 499 €. Eligibility is checked server-side per person and delivery address.
How does the artist-credit discount work?
With the approved credit on the first imprint or copyright page, the base cover regularly costs 374,25 € instead of 499 €. The same credit is mandatory for eligible first-time customers, whose price is 249,50 €. The discounts are not combined. The studio can insert the block in print and e-book editions or provide a checked typesetting template.
